I have missed you all so much!
This project was a challenging one for me. I needed to do this project on strict budget, (which I love a good challenge) but on a “can of paint” budget. I wanted to make sure I used some decor that we already have, and I enjoy seeing the picture of my girls every time I walk through the space.
I had chosen Blue Sash paint color from Valspar. The color was warm, inviting, and a little bold, which is what I strive for in my design aesthetic in our home. So one can of paint and a paint brush and I was ready to rid the old boring tan color and spruce up the hallway a bit.
I removed all the pictures and the shelves and went to work. These pictures are horrific, but you get the point. This narrow space is very hard to photograph.
Here are the After pictures. I ended up changing out the hallway light by removing an outdated 1970’s fixture and added these two really cool light bulbs as a DIY Light Fixture. So Fun and cost $8!
I used most of the same decor except added the sailboat from a trip over the summer and one of my favorite pictures. I hope you got inspired to decorate on a budget and know that a can of paint can make big impact!
