This sweet little workspace area rests on the other side of our Master Bedroom. The room is extremely long so it only made sense for me to divide the room up in 2 spaces for design purposes and function.

I spend a lot of time lately at this workspace, so I wanted it to reflect my style and bring me inspiration. I added collected items, like the vintage postcards I got at my favorite Antique Barn in New York. This made the area feel warm and brings me happy memories of treasure hunting.
This space also included a makeover of the table adding distressed details throughout the piece. I love how the finished look came out, yet it takes 30 days for the table to really be cured from the oil I used.

Here is some design advice if you are looking to freshen up your Home Workspace:
*Use items you have already that bring you happiness: A photo, a souvenir from a trip, a vintage item passed down to you. Incorporate it in the design
*Add different Texture: A plant, a pattern, a pop of color
*Always a candle: I prefer a soy-based candle. This adds some natural light and peace to your workspace.
I hope you learned something from this post. Let me know if you refresh your workspace.
