Rustic, Livable, Kid-friendly, and Collected Design
Welcome to Week 8 of the One Room Challenge! I am so excited to share with you our Play Room / Family Room makeover reveal. When planning the layout of the room, I sectioned it off into 3 different areas…Playroom side, Family Room side, and the hallway with storage and a where our laundry resides.
This basement area was completely unfinished when we moved it. We finished it about 3 years ago, so construction was not done for this project specifically.
My goal for this area of our home was to feel livable, kid friendly, collected, and a touch of rustic.
I created a mood board for Week 1 and it gave me a good direction on design and budget.
Enough with all the planning, let’s get to the best part! The BEFORE & AFTER!
This was a very challenging area to photograph so I created a small video to make it easier for you to visualize how the room flows.
This challenge has taught me so much about myself and my whole goal of staying consistently creative. I am so thankful I get to share all this fun with you. I would love to hear what you think of this room.
